Concrete duties in the framework of EI (NOT) program
Following the activities programmed in the framework of EI (NOT) program, in these days was convened the Child Labour Monitoring Committee that follows attentively the activities being organized in 6 schools of different districts, Tirana (Bathore 1 and 2), Elbasan (De Rada and Ptoleme Xhuvani) and Korce (Liqenas and Gorice).
Except for the members of these committee, in these meeting were present also representatives from the trade union sessions of these districts, leaders of both education trade unions, Mr. Xhafer Dobrushi and Mr. Bajram Kruja, and also the representative from the Ministry of Education and Science, Mr. Fatmir Bezati. In the meeting was done a balance of the work and the results achieved and were assigned concrete duties for the activities and the objectives that will be realized in the future, according to the respective work plan.
In his speech, Mr. Xhafer Dobrushi made a short presentation of the current situation and emphasized that in the days to come, during the week, the work of the Committee and of around 50 teachers engaged in this program will be very intensive, concentrating especially on concrete activities with 130 pupils, selected among the 6 schools. He asked from the representative of the Ministry to be engaged in the solution of some problems that are facing the teachers and pupils of the Macedonian community in the schools of Liqenas and Gorica (Korce), especially in providing the means of transportation for the pupils and teachers of the villages around, and also in the recompense, according to the respective rules, of the teachers that have prepared the specific texts of the two schools of the Macedonian community in Liqenas and Gorica (Korce).
Mr. Bajram Kruja asked for the duties in the framework of this Program to be seriously considered by each of the engaged teachers, assuring cooperation, as good as possible, with the Education Directorates and the local authorities, for the fulfillment of the requests of pupils and teachers of these schools.
The representatives of the trade unions in the Committee, Shaban Duka, Derall Tota, Bukuroshe Shabani, and Pellumb Agolli expressed the engagement and of the teachers of the respective schools for following and realizing the planned activities and objectives according to the program. They, together with the representative of the Education Directorate of Korca, Mirdash Pupa, appreciated the work done by both trade unions for the publication of the SCREAM package and the Manual on the Non-Formal Education, also for the professional qualification of the teachers that serve directly, not only to qualitative education, but also to protect the children and eliminate child labour.
The representative of the Ministry, Mr. Fatmir Brezati, expressed his willingness to be engaged in the Ministry and to join the leaders of the trade unions, participating in the meetings that will be organized soon with the working groups in these schools, in knowing closely the situation and in influencing on the solution of the problems.
The Committee approved the program of the activities for the future, according to which the meetings of the groups will be organized in the dates 20 (Elbasan), 21 (Korce) and 24 September (Tirana), whereas the cultural and sportive activities in the dates 22, 23, 24 October.
These activities will be preceded by the concrete preparative work with the pupils, the publication of two posters and the preparation of particular television programs about the engagement of the trade unions and teachers for the prevention and elimination of child labour.
